In June the club met Joe and Sherri’s pond in the Port Orange area on Spruce Creek.

There was no formal business at this meeting as it was a joint meeting of both the Florida East Coast Koi and Pond Club and the Orlando Area Koi and Pond Club.

Joe made a few announcements pertaining to the upcoming koi shows at Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, and 2011 Central Florida Koi Show

Joe discussed how to tell the gender of koi and pointed to examples in his pond. Following the potluck dinner, those interested in adopting some koi or goldfish were able to observe catching and handling koi, and bagging fish in water and oxygen.

Attendance was approximately 60 people.

Thanks to everyone who attended and a special thanks to those who brought a dish to share for our potluck dinner. The weather was great too!
